Have a great time for a great cause at the third annual Sip for Soup at Tonne Winery on Saturday, Aug. 17.
Sip for Soup runs from 6-9 p.m. and will feature:
- Live classic rock music by the band 5-Speed
- Food trucks
- A silent auction with all proceeds benefiting the Soup Kitchen of Muncie
- Raffles
- Information on opportunities to support the Soup Kitchen
- And, of course, wine!
Admission is free and you do not need to register in advance this year. Just bring your lawn chair or blanket and show up ready to enjoy yourself, bid on auction items, and buy raffle tickets.
This year is a very special one for the Soup Kitchen of Muncie. We celebrate 30 years of feeding those in need in our Muncie/Delaware county community… 30 years of Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope.
Hunger and food insecurity are on the rise in our neighborhoods. It has the most
significant impact on children, single moms, and our veterans. Feed America reports a 31% increase in food insecurity, equating to 20,000 of our neighbors in Muncie not being sure where they will get their next meal. In May, we provided 4435 people with 8870 meals. The daily average of guests in May was 201, an unprecedented number for our organization.
