Come out to the Delaware County Fairground to experience Farm Fest to learn about farming and take part in hands on exhibits and activities including a sheep shearing demonstration, milking the cows, and a farm animal petting zoo. Exhibits for kettle-corn making, blacksmithing, and a display of antique tractors. There will be an inflatable corn maze provided by A-1 for Fun. There will be more than 40 vendors, including Delaware County Soil and Water, Delaware County Master Gardeners, Delaware County 4-H and more. The Delaware County Extension Homemakers will host lunch and dinner on both days. Tuesday’s lunch will serve Baked steak, mash potatoes, green beans and cole slaw or applesauce, and Tuesday’s dinner will feature pork chops or a pork burger. Wednesday’s lunch will feature chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans and cole slaw or applesauce and dinner is a barbecue cook off with the meal consisting of 3 pork sliders, mac n cheese, coleslaw, dessert and a drink. Lunch is served from 11 am – 2 pm and dinner is served from 5 – 7 pm. Musical entertainment by Common Ground. There will be an auction on Tuesday at 6 pm in Heartland Hall. All proceeds from the meals and the auction fund the annual festival and scholarship fund. Did you know that Indiana ranks number 1 in popcorn production in the nation!
