Second Thursday Gallery Walk 

5–8 PM | Throughout DWNTWN 

Typically held on the first Thursday of each month from 5–8 pm, join us for a gallery walk around DWNTWN Muncie. Enjoy a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the diverse artistic expressions of our city. As you stroll through the streets, you’ll encounter galleries, studios, and pop-up exhibits featuring local artists providing a unique chance to engage with them directly, learn about their inspirations, and perhaps even purchase a piece that speaks to you. 

Free Concert: Dave Bennett Quartet 

8 PM | Canan Commons 

The Dave Bennett Quartet presents an intense and emotional musical experience. Bennett and his band perform hard-driving swing, rockabilly, jazz, pop, gospel, and original songs. Listeners will recognize the influences of Benny Goodman, Pete Fountain, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Beatles, Chris Isaak, Peter Gabriel, and Phil Collins. Naptown Hepcats will open the show with their unique rockabilly sound paying tribute to Brian Setzer and Stray Cats. 


Family Picnic in the Park 

6–9 PM | Canan Commons 

Bring the family to Canan Commons for an evening of food and games complete with a movie and popcorn! Engage in a friendly challenge with some yard games, enjoy cuisine from local food trucks from 6–9 pm, and be entertained by an outdoor screening of Iron Cowboy: The Story of the 50.50.50 Triathlon at 8 pm. 


IRONMAN 70.3 Muncie Race Day! 

8 AM Start | Prairie Creek Reservoir 

Cheer on the athletes as they participate in one of the races of a lifetime! The event begins with a 1.2-mile swim in beautiful and historic Prairie Creek Reservoir followed by a very fast out-and-back bike course with 56 miles of closed state highways and country roads that wind through rural Delaware and Henry counties. Once off the bike, athletes are treated to a competitive 13.1-mile run around the south side of Prairie Creek Reservoir. Whether you’re an athlete, a spectator, or a local resident, the IRONMAN 70.3 Muncie promises a weekend of excitement and community spirit. See you there! 


Minnetrista Farmer’s Market 

9 AM | Minnetrista Museum & Gardens 

Every Saturday from May through October, Minnetrista hosts many local and regional vendors at their outdoor market. You can buy a beautiful bouquet of fresh-cut flowers, sip on a cup of coffee, and shop till your heart’s content! Support local farmers, potters, and artisans the weekend of IronMan 70.3! 


Come One, Come All Festival 

12 PM | Canan Commons 

After the race, gather your lawn chairs and make your way to Canan Commons. Delight in carriage rides, outdoor games, live music, inspiring speakers, and the spirit of community! Join in the meet-and-greet activities designed to foster neighborly connections and savor this meaningful moment in our splendid city.
