Top 10 Summer Events You Can’t Miss in Muncie & Delaware County 

Pack sunscreen. Wear dancing shoes. Bring the entire family.

If Muncie in summer had a soundtrack, it’d be part local bands, part patriotic anthems, and part cicadas and cornfields. Whether you’re a firework fanatic, a live music lover, or just here for the fair food (yum), these 10 can’t miss summer events will keep your calendar as full as your funnel cake plate. 

1. Three Trails Music Series 

When: Monthly, May–September | Where: Various venues in Muncie 
Indie darlings. Jazz legends. Roots-rockers. FREE concerts from nationally touring acts? Yes, please. Watch national recording artists take the stage as they perform a wide variety of genres.

2. Daleville Summer Concerts & Movies in the Park 

When: May–September | Where: Daleville Town Hall Park 
Pack a blanket, bring the dog, and let the kiddos run wild. Daleville’s summer series includes concerts, movies, and the occasional food truck surprise. Small town charm turned all the way up.

3. Tonne Winery Summer Concert Series 

When: Weekends, June–September | Where: Tonne Winery, Muncie 
Grab a chilled glass of Traminette and settle in on Tonne’s patio, where live bands set the perfect soundtrack for a great summer evening. Pair your drink with a tasty charcuterie tray and let the music carry you through the night with friends and family.

4. Yorktown Summer Concert Series 

When: Select Fridays all summer | Where: Civic Green 
Lawn chairs, coolers, and kids with glow sticks turn Civic Green into a fun, small-town hangout under the stars. Grab a bite from a local food truck and let the music set the vibe.

5. The Landing at Redwing 

When: Check Facebook and their website for events | Where: The former Camp Redwing 
This best-kept secret is the perfect peaceful escape surrounded by trees, and it’s quickly becoming a hotspot for music, food, and family fun. Plan ahead: the Fourth of July fireworks are unbelievable!

6. Fourth of July Festivities 

When: July 4 (obv) | Where: Across the county 
There’s plenty of great spots to view the fireworks this 4th of July across the county. Minnetrista, the White River Levee, Prairie Creek Reservoir, and Yorktown are just a few. Bring your sparklers and your red-white-and-blue.

7. Delaware County Fair 

When: July 13–19 | Where: Delaware County Fairgrounds, Muncie 
Rides, tractor pulls, lemon shake-ups, and 4-H festivities. Destination: Muncie is a proud sponsor of Community Day on July 14 (FREE entry) for this summer staple where memories are made, and your inner child gets to run free.

8. Gaston Fair 

When: July 30-August 2 | Where: Downtown Gaston 
This fair has hometown heart, serving up pageants, demolition derby, monster trucks., and a tight-knit community vibe. Follow their Facebook page to catch the official dates.

9. Fire Up DWNTWN 

When: August 2 | Where: DWNTWN Muncie 
Get ready for summer’s grand finale: car show, food trucks, tons of vendors, live music, hot air balloons, and all the energy of a city block party turned festival. Downtown gets hot in the best way possible.

10. First Thursdays 

When: The first Thursday of every month | Where: DWNTWN Muncie
