David Owsley Museum of Art at Ball State University is home to an expansive collection of over 11,000 artworks, representing a wide range of medium, styles, and cultures. While on campus, get blown away at the Glick Center for Glass and see rising artists at the School of Art Griner Gallery.

Catch a traveling Broadway show at Emens Auditorium, see tomorrow’s big name at a College of Fine Arts theatre and dance performance, or sing along under the stars at an outdoor concert at the Brown Family Amphitheater

Explore Earth & sky

Experience the wonders of the night sky at the Charles W. Brown Planetarium, Indiana’s largest planetarium dome at nearly 52 feet! Next door, explore the wonders of our own backyard at Christy Woods, a 17-acre mature forested nature area with beautiful winding trails.

The Dr. Joe and Alice Rinard Orchid Greenhouse brings a tropical environment to the Midwest and is home to over 2,000 orchid varieties—the largest collegiate orchid collection in the U.S. Visit the adjoined Environment Education Center for hands-on learning experiences about Indiana ecology.

Chirp! Chirp!

The Cardinals compete in NCAA Division I athletics with 19 varsity men’s and women’s teams at state-of-the-art sports facilities. The women’s basketball team recently won the Mid American Conference championship and competed in the NCAA tournament.

Muncie lays claim to a long and storied history as a national capital for the sport of volleyball. Every season, fans gather at Worthen Arena to experience the highest level of competition from the Ball State men’s and women’s volleyball teams.

Bronze statue placed by the Muncie Chamber of Commerce to honor the Ball families’ philanthropy. Eventually it became the insignia and logo for Ball State University.
